New Alternatives For Students from Developing Nations! The S.I. team has decided to offer a new flexible range of programs for students from developing nations who might find it difficult to choose a full seven month SI commitment. Here's how it works:
Choose a program from the list below, then work out how long you want to stay. Then you can calculate the cost. You will notice that there is a minimum stay requirement.
Two programs are offered:
- Service Internship: A program in which students will serve as interns in several American ministries. The basic cost covers travel to and from ministry locations in various States.
Minimum commitment: 2 months or to June 2010. Cost: $1,000.00, plus $12 per day.
- The King's School: Attendance as a student in King's includes English Language training, as well as other academic courses, with the possibility of internships as student-teacher training and involvement in the full academic curriculum.
Minimum commitment: 2 months or to June 2010. Cost: $500.00, plus $12 per day.
Accommodation: Students will be houses with local Christian families who are directly associated with The King's School, Church of The Nations and Church of The King.
Visas: Service International is an adjunct program of The King's School. All non-U.S. students are covered by a Student Exchange Visa which is issued by SI and recognized for the term of involvement by the United States Department of Immigration for non-immigrant entry to the United States.
Applications may be made to begin during this academic year, as soon as September 2009, but students may wish to commence later.
